He came from a very supportive family that instilled the belief in him that 'he can do and be anything he wanted' as long as he believed in himself and worked hard to achieve his dreams!
Coming of Age in the Music Industry
Sir "Charles J" is a true veteran of the music game in his own right. Not only did begin singing at the early age of five years old -- but he began to write songs at age thirteen and became a member of an R&B singing group when he was seventeen! The group signed with CBS Records and years later the group split. But this breakup did not stop Charles ... he was going to keep on pushing forward no matter what! So he signed a deal with Teddy Riley at Future Records. After Charles's contract was up -- he took another opportunity. Charles then opened in four cities for R. Kelly afterwards, always using his talent in a creative way. Charles began singing back up for other artist on stage and in the studio for a couple of years. His love and passion for God definitely comes through in his newest smash single "Give Him Praise" which Charles is currently touring independently throughout the state of Virginia. He does this to help give hope and uplift the local youth. This is his way of giving back.
