Just Put It in the Machine began as a bit of a rant at Christmas time in the year 2000, while driving with friends to Aunt Sarah's in Richmond, VA, for a night of drinking coffee, exchanging gifts, and generally causing a ruckus. The topic of DVD rentals had come up, and I spontaneously railed at great length against the massive stupidity of individuals who did not seem to know what to do with their DVDs.

Some time later, upon purchasing a new sound card for my computer, I began experimenting with the included software packages, and the recordings on this EP were born.

I've done some tweaking for the first worldwide digital release of these recordings, but they are still rough around the edges. I like to think that adds to their charm, recalling the scratchy underground tapes of The Jerky Boys I loved in college ("Sue everybody!").

So enjoy - and remember - JUST PUT IT IN THE MACHINE!
