"Holding Back the Beast" was recorded between Nov.12 - Nov.20, 2007 in Washington, D.C. and Arlington, VA. As the result of winning the 2007 International Free Ride Music Contest, Hong Kong-based artist Reign Lee was
flown to Human Factor Productions to record a 3-song EP with renowned producer, Blake Althen, as her prize. Those 3 initial songs quickly evolved into a 6-song Mini-album. The result of the collaboration is this intensely engaging & unusual collection of songs. It appears that Human Factor's penchant for epic compositions found a worthy conspirator in Reign Lee's enigmatic songwriting & melodic sensibility. "Holding Back the Beast" is yet another step into further uncharted territory for this adventurous pair.
