Originally released in 2007, only on CD in Japan, The War of Art is Rennie Foster's first full length studio album. A highly personal work, this unique album details the struggle of Rennie's life and business, during a period of transition into the digital music industry. Each track is like a story. Frustration, confusion, resolve, optimism, and many other emotive themes are explored. Genre classification is next to impossible, but references to the classic sounds of Detroit and Chicago play on futuristic exploration of the elements that were prevalent at the time of the album's release, as well as Rennie's signature originality.
