Blockage is more than worthy to stand foot in the gardens. Tulipa Recordings welcomes this young and innovative gentleman into the fold. Trained beyond belief in the intricacies of delicate techno, Blockage warms the fields with his soft glow. Being the bearer of good news, he delivers an EP suited for a king. This collection of compositions encompasses depth, groove, and subtle nuances all within one realm.

The title track Unicorn Blaster bursts forth with side-chained soul and sparkling percussion. This tune is made for the hypnotic moments early in the night. Fused with emotion and movement, it effortlessly bounces and striates. Brendon Moeller brings his signature dubbed-out flavor into the mix with two separate interpretations of Unicorn Blaster. He manages to channel the warmth of the original into a new stream of liquified simplicity. Both of his remixes emphasize chords and ambience that would work most effectively in early night forays. The second original, Tron, manifests the minimalistic house sensibilities that have always been embraced by the Tulipa imprint. Subtly energetic and dashed with quirkiness, Tron is prone to alleviate the weight on top of unsuspecting feet. Marc Faenger whips up a mix full to the brim with rolling grooves. Marc's version is both functional and exciting, but it remains deeply rooted toward the visions of the underground. Finishing the EP is Padrock, a unique song with an eerie backdrop that is reminiscent of dark days and hopeful nights.

Indeed Blockage's Unicorn Blaster EP is a grandiose accomplishment. Tulipa Recordings has been keeping track of his various works for a while now, and is thrilled to present his first solo release on Tulipa. He stirs up a storm with Unicorn Blaster- uniting techno, house, minimal, and hypnotica all under one roof.
