Thinking Of The Summertime Part 2

Thinking Of The Summertime Part 2

To mark the end of the British summertime (if it ever started) here is the second part of the sampler showcasing the labels sound. The first part has gone on general release after gaining support from a wide range of Underground DJs including DJ Sneak, Mark Farina, Groove Armada, Jason Hodges, Inland Knights, Giom, Hector Moralez, Atnarko and Da Sunlounge to name but a few. Part 2 picks up where part 1 left off.

Up first is Ben Armstrong Time What Time. A techy affair with lush jazz keys and a skippy beat moves the track along nicely. The real treat however lies in the baseline. To say it is slightly heavy would be an understatement so just make sure anything lose is nailed down before playing!

The second track comes from up and coming stateside producer Jeff Service. Having released on a number of Underground House labels Jeff delivers a House track that owes more than a nod to the glory days of filtered House music the like of Sneak and Derrick Carter were purveyors of in the late 90s. This track shows why Jeff is one to watch for the future.

The final track to make up the sampler comes from the Scottish Flatpack Traxx stable. Craig Hamilton teams up with sometimes production partner Esteban Caracass to give a peak time jackin monster. Already gaining support from those lucky enough to have a copy this track simply destroys dance floors.
