The newest Katermukke release called Primal Rage EP does live up to it’s name. The EP is fierce power covered with a cage of aesthetics. The drilling energy is gradually building up and breaking down which feels like cycles of charged and discharged power. Still there are atmospheric and heroic keys swinging by to wrap such sound in smoothness. This is especially underlined by the arpeggios, which are wandering a thin red line between melodicity and acid. Therefore it is a special energetic but pleasant experience, that is released by letting this music travel into your ears.
