August Moon is an American singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist. Formed in 2012 in Arden Hills, Minnesota, Moon created the project while experimenting with music in his parents' basement.

August Moon's music is described as indietronica and synthpop and is often described as belonging under the "electronic music" label, but he also known for making acoustic music. Moon has stated that he is inspired by European electronic music, as well as instrumental genres such as drone, ambient, and post-rock.
