In the late 1970s, while studying music composition with Dr. Roque Cordero, David began to create compositions and performances using what he calls, "Towards an Unbroken Media/Art." His philosophy and practice explores the continuum of elements common to art and media: visual art, music, film/video, movement/dance, creative writing, drama…

In 2007, his CD, "Looking for Your Face," produced with his band, SENSES, was nominated for a Grammy award. Currently, he is a resident artist at the Hoogland Center for the Arts in Springfield, Illinois, where he is currently working a new CD, a screenplay and movie based on a Tolstoy short story, several new dance, movement, animation, and video pieces…. In 2008, David was selected as a Joseph Campbell Foundation's "Follow Your Bliss" Featured Artist.
