First of several planned albums, friends tell me the vocals sound like Burl Ives and Gordon Lightfoot, some just think it sounds like me, did all the music and vocals on this album and tried to include as many instruments from around the world that I could try and blend together, tried to do new versions of old Christmas songs, contemplative and easy to listen to while you cook or make love or visit with friends, get a new sound for Christmas, feeling agnostic but love Christmas, thought about some special people in my life as I worked on this and there could be a dedication but the subject(s) of this might be embarrassed if I spelled it out, perhaps they will know who they are, would be nice if we all could stop shooting each other for awhile and share this planet and have a peaceful Christmas-- this is what I would like my music to be about.
