Dark Horse is a psychedelic experimental rock band based in Los Angeles, CA with roots dating back to the early 90's. With inspirations ranging from a number of different generes, Dark Horse was meant to be an experiment in blending generes and exploring the sound boundaries. Over the years, the lineup seen many faces and has included: Steven Gute, Ric Zimmerman, David Streit, Phin Regan, John Spurlock, Wissam Rhayem, Adam Parker (DJ Ape), Andy Nelson, Eric Medina, and Kevin Josenhans.

There first release, Forgotten Faces, was recorded in 2005 at PRS. The band began performing live and became a regular act at venues like The Whisky A Go Go, The Roxy, and other venues around Los Angeles. With the departure of John Spurlock in 2005, a now stripped down Dark Horse began writing and recording their sophomore effort, Darker, again teaming up with engineer Alan Dyer.
