Eighteen year old Maryland- based Matthew Brown's debut into the world of recorded music owes as much to the murky, emotive character of the Rolling Stones' "I Just Want to See His Face" as it does the stripped-down, homegrown approach of Bruce Springsteen's "Nebraska."

Recorded in his bedroom over an extended period of two years, these tracks grew from simple demos into a full album, with many of the tracks being recorded live with overdubs added later. Matt is the sole instrumentalist on the album, playing guitar (with or without slide), bass, harmonica, and miscellaneous percussion, in addition to vocals and writing everything on the album.
