Born into a musical family, Chris has always loved the sound and feel of music. Some of his earliest memories are listening to his parents singing, all or part of, “every single song” they heard on the radio. No song should be left unsung was one of his late father’s mantras.

“Some of my best memories as a child and early teen years were performing with my family in church or writing and performing with my dad in local shows,” Chris recalls. “I don’t think a day went by without music playing some part in my upbringing. And I am thankful for that!”

Born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and moving many times with young parents, his family eventually settled in the Dallas Texas area. Texas has been his home for most of his life since. After high school, Chris served a two-year mission for the LDS church in the Los Angeles California area. He says, “I quickly found that my passion for music was an asset to my service as a missionary. I wasn’t afraid to use hymns and even original melodies to teach the gospel
