RAJA rules were simple:
- start from scratch and create a live set of new instrumental music
- record the live set in-place as would be done in performance

With this broad, though specific mission of Venusian abstraction, the trio met over the course of several months to explore and create. Each brought musical kernels to the sessions and together, they shaped ideas into both tightly- and loosely-structured interludes; some fully-charted, others conceptual, moving to improv and back again.

The recording went down in a one-day session; all performances were recorded live, no ProTools, no click tracks, no grid, no autotune, no timestretching/ tempo adjustments. Simply 12 tracks which were later mixed through an analog console with minimal outboard.
