This pre-release to my second album is an exciting direction for me after my first studio effort, "Sundown: A Gordon Lightfoot Retrospective," which released in 2014. A singer all of my life, I welcomed the chance to get to try a new song genre, given, as I have been, to ballads, folk, and smooth jazz pieces to this point. When my producer suggested we try a fresh take on this synthpop classic that enjoyed great popularity in Europe, it struck me as a worthwhile way to go. We had a blast recording it; I laid the vocal tracks in Santa Monica, CA, and some of Nashville's finest musicians did their thing back in Music City, tracking the tune. Vocals went back to them, the song was mixed and mastered and we are ready to go!

Songs from my first album saw a lot of internet airplay, alongside artists like Joan Baez, Simon & Garfunkel, Leonard Cohen and other songwriting and recording greats. Reviews described my vocal delivery as "smooth," "rich," and "sophisticated." I hope to be back in the studio sometime this Fall, laying the vocals for my second album, but could not wait to release this single as an exciting preview to what promises to be another great project!
