Recorded and produced from Rob's former studio next to the "Corner Grill" in Bowling Green Ohio, Zeitgeber is a collection of both distinct compositional ideas and exploratory group improvisation.

"This music was created shortly after I graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in guitar performance. I was full of energy and very much wanting people to notice me as a musical artist. So this album has a certain youthful power and exuberance that is very apparent; this is the work of people who are hopeful about music, and very enthusiastic about its potential.

Looking back on the project five years later, I am still quite proud of it, even if I would maybe shy away from some of those extended guitar jams! The music holds up. Its still interesting and part of that is the performances from the musicians on it. I'm very proud to have formed an All-Star lineup of musicians from my era in Jazz Studies at BGSU, people who are all still out there playing and making music. Jason, Matt B, Matt S,
