Nocturnal
Vista are Roger and Jules, a duo from Norwich, England. They first formed in 2005 although they had been writing songs together since the 1990’s under their former name, Dubious. The name change coincided with a slight change in direction resulting in a more defined electro sound.
Vista play sweet dance pop with hooky melodies and electronic swirls, complimented by delicate and seductive vocals, with thoughtful lyrics capturing slices of everyday life. The duo have released several albums, the most recent being ‘Nocturnal,’ as well as playing live both locally and nationally. Several of their songs have been remixed by international artists.
The song 'Susan' was recently featured in Future Music's Demo of the Month, Forget About Everything has been selected to appear on the prestigous Electropop 4 Compilation and tracks such as 'The Sweetest Taste' and 'Get It Right' have been regularly played on a range of radio stations worldwide. One reviewer from a radio station has recently compared Vista's songs to both Goldfrapp and St. Etienne.
With influences ranging from Saint Etienne, The Pet Shop Boys, New Order and Massive Attack, the duo fuse this inspiration with original and sturdy songwriting.
Vista aim to continue to write even better pop songs and perform to a wider audience. Each one of Vista’s songs is unique and the duo is always keen to develop new and innovative ideas.
